A business plan was sketched on a napkin, Dennis and Ann made the decision to separate themselves from the crowded salons and barbershops with clubby idea with their own unique kind of salon that does not require appointments and provides services that are reasonably priced for the value they provide. The idea was born with a hair salon in West Springfield, Virginia in 1974. Now, Hair Cuttery has 750 salons across 16 states and around 12,000 employees. Hair Cuttery focuses on three services that are: price, convenience and reliability.

Services Provided

Hair Cuttery's services are divided in four areas: cut and color, style treatments, waxing and cut. Hair cutting and styling services include haircuts for both children and adults blow-dry straightening blow-dry and quick do's and styles. All styling and cutting services come with pre-service shampooing.

Additional services can be requested for bang, beard or neckline trimming. Also, ironing can be requested. Coloring services can include one color, partially or complete highlights and double dimension color that has highlights in full or partial, along with "Redken" colour for males. Further and corrective coloring can be requested.
